A guy n NY was trying to sell N95 masks and other medical for ~700% markups, but one of his prospective customers was a doctor who alerted authorities. He coughed at Federal agents when they came to take his supplies and told them he was COVID positive. For you constitutionalists, where does the FBI's authority to seize these masks come from? Trump's EO supersede The Constitution's provision of being secure in your possessions? https://thefederalist.com/2020/04/0...ng-medical-supplies-coughing-fbi-agents/Here is a photo of Mr. Feldheim just in case you are wondering:

If he coughed on them on purpose, he could be looking at more charges.
I'd have given him a kick in the nuts.

This is too much. That picture, that name, and selling masks at a 700% markup? Was he drinking baby’s blood and screwing with the weather too?

Guy in Moorhead MN grocery store was arrested yesterday for purposefully coughing on two minority workers, claiming minorities were the cause of the virus and refusing to identify himself to police.

There were a lot of people on here who were livid about the brothers with 17,000 gallons of hand sanitizer, and agreed with the Governor of Tennessee seizing them. This is a very slippery slope.

There is a gouging law, I'm assuming if you violate it, the law provides for seizure of said goods. All legal.

It was my understanding that once the publicity was out, the brothers donated them to various places, and/or sold some at more reasonable prices. Cohersion, certainly - but IIRC- it was not siezed. But I'm not going back to check.... War proffiteers have always had a bad rep, how much worse is it when it is implements to save lives, rather than take them? But yeah, ya gotta watch the footing on that slope!

It is my understanding that "declared State of Emergency" legally prohibits profiteering.
Please correct me if I am mistaken.

Sign me up!!!!!!!!! I'll take the 440 one that comes with it. A young guy in the town I went to HS in bought a new '70 440 6pk with 4sp and 4.10's in Plum Purple or Crazy whatever they called it when he returned from Nam. When the gas price issues came along in 73 or 74 being a married man with a child the 50 some cents per gallon made him buy a little Nissan. 'Cuda had low 40K miles on it. He kept dropping price and finally sold it for $1600. Purchaser stripped interior except for drivers bucket, removed 6pk, cut a bigger hole in shaker hood and put on a tunnel ram with 2-4's. Made you sick. I was 18 and hadn't yet graduated and dad wouldn't let me be the proud owner. Sold before I graduated and had a job. Sure wished I could go back for that and several reasons.lol Another guy sold a '69 SS 396 4sp Hugger Orange with under 40K miles for $1800 and a teacher traded his '69 Camaro SS 350 4sp Canary Yellow. All bought little foreign units. Funny how .25 cents a gallon made a difference back then. Guess at 1.60 minimum wage then pennies added up to dollars fairly fast?

"According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office report, another New Jersey doctor went to an auto repair shop to pick up an order of medical supplies from Feldheim, who communicated with doctors and nurses via a WhatsApp group titled “Virus2020!” The doctor told investigators that Feldheim had enough medical supplies to “outfit an entire hospital.”
According to the doctor, the repair shop contained materials such as hand sanitizer, Clorox wipes, chemical cleaning supply agents, and surgical supplies."
Title could read NY Doctor ripped off at auto repair shop.

Hmm, if two people agreeing on a transaction results in one of them being charged with a crime, that's not a free market. But as I get older, I see more and more people are deathly afraid of true freedom, and more demanding of govt protection.
