You sound like someone who doesn't know what a pimp is, or can't comprehend what I wrote.

Well said. Price gouging for medically essential items during a dire emergency should bring on harsh penalties. Things like TP and potatoes aren't medical necessities, but medical supplies are and need special protections.

Jump up and down and scream Constitution as your mother dies...nope.

So who decides what's ok to profit on and what's not? I don't GAF about hand sanitizer, soap works great and so do gloves. You want the the convenience and (false) sense of security hand sanitizer gives you, then pay for it. Don't want to dilute some bleach and use a spray bottle and rag, prefer a nice handy scented Lysol wipe? Ok,pay for it. Point is, lots of stuff is not essential, simply in high demand by people with very little common sense. If those people are willing to pay big money for the things they think they need, I don't have a problem with people selling it for what the market will bear.

WE have laws against price gouging during a declared emergency.

Maybe there’s an app to translate it to Canadianeze.

Ok. Got a link to what that law is? Is it a federal law, or do each of the states get to make their own?

There are a lot of aspects of what is going on right now that seem like they are straight out of a disaster novel, and this whole story is one of them.

FBI also raiding companies or businesses that may have bought fake or non FDA approved CV19 testing kits! Hit a company in Houston and are tracing all shipments that went out.

That bunch is a self correcting problem. But they're going to wipe out a sizable percentage of NYC in the process.

Price gouging is for commercial businesses and corporations. What an individual owns and wants to sell and at what price is purely up to them. You the consumer also have the same right to not pay for the product at asking price.
