Are we sending masks to countries we are war with? I think not.

I like how you guys enjoy "selective" capitalism - when it suits you.

Hypocrisy RULES!

Maybe we should call that Hypocritic Capitalism to make you guys BELIEVE you are capitalists.

It is relevant. The Brits weren't at war with Brazil or a Argentina either. It's called doing what governments are SUPPOSED to do, project, protect and defend the national interest, just like it directed US manufacturers to build guns instead of farm equipment, etc. and this IS a war of sorts...

Legit question. Sorry you disapprove.

A VERY legit question and the answer is of course NO....until OUR demands exceed the export capability and especially during a national emergency like we are in now. if it's costing American lives then things need to be adjusted accordingly. Same for the masks and 3M

this topic was discussed on FOX earlier and apparently 3M manufactures a bunch of the masks in China and China was not allowing them to be exported to the US, under any circumstance.

Only after our domestic consumption requirements are satisfied then we can begin to export. We have a pretty good idea of what we need on a monthly, weekly and daily basis, too.

They were selling to the highest foreign bidder, jacking up prices. What do they call that?

Price gouging is what many call it, I prefer the word treason! Yes I know that is an over used word, but if the shoe fits!

Another nuance of globalization is that many "American" companies are now led by "non-Americans", or, by people who at minimum who have a strong vested interest in other countries / cultures.

As I posted last month, Americans are the only country / culture that try to adhere to the sense of fair play and treating others equally. Every other country / tribe / clan in the world is in "me first" mode. "What ever is good for me, my clan, my tribe, takes precedence over the needs of any other country / tribe / culture..."

When the senior positions at these American companies are filled with non-Americans, it is not surprising to have situations like the one at 3M where desparately needed resources are channeled to non-American interests. I don't know that this is the specific case at 3M. But would not be surprised if someone peeled a few layers and found something similar in play.

Americans as a whole need to wake up, smell the roses, and realize that no one else is looking out for the U.S. of A., except us... And then act accordingly...

Sounds like capitalism to me. You hate capitalism it appears. But then, so many here do.

You dont like price gouging screwing you, but you do like it screwing the US.

Now, try to figure out why you're a POS anti American traitor.

True capitalists are just that. And I'm one of them. Capitalists when convenient are really just socialists. That's you. It is you that is the traitor.
