As some may remember my brother is suffering from acute leukemia and pneumonia. This has been a back and forth thing these last 44 days. Two days ago they were talking about sending him to a rehab facility pending his next round of chemo. Today he is back in ICU on a ventilator and they can't do the marrow biopsy they planned. I mean, his platelets and white cells started coming back on their own two days ago and now another crash.
I don't know if this is a common course or not. I do not worry about his fate as I believe he is saved, but seeing what my sister in law and especially my young niece is going through, even at this distance, is heart breaking. He has two sons (adults) and for some reason I don't worry much about them, but Jesse's little girl Jessica, just now 18, I worry about. She was always his baby and her bond with him was always strong.
The older I become the more I am convinced that the voice of honor in a man's heart is the voice of GOD.

My good friend's son has the same problem.
He is at MD Anderson in Houston has been for months.
He has 3 donors that are a perfect match and now has to wait it out.
Every time he gets platelets he come down with a fever and has to be put back in the icu.
This is their only child and you can see how painful it is for them.
Hope he gets stabilized.
