So, is the 870 28 g. built on a 20 g. frame? I’m planning to restock with a Rem factory synthetic.

If you are talking about a newer gun (like an express) yes the 28ga is built on a 20 gauge frame and should take a 20ga stock (also a 7400 stock)

the forearm might be gauge specific though
