If New York disappears off the face of the earth it will take very little time to continue without them. In fact the world would probably be better off. Ed k

I have thought about that and can think of a factor or two where that "revolve around" might be the case, but seems like there is a lot in the world that certainly does not. Would you care to provide evidence that proves your contention in the universal sense?

Your original statement "the world does revolve around NY. Like it or not." was firmly declarative. When asked to prove, you posted "arguable" quotes about "factors" - not proof. Other than the "financial" aspect, none of it comes close to proof. Who knows what you truly understand about "culture" and what it comprises, but "media" is in no way the core of culture. Do you define culture as being entertained? There are some good higher-ed institutions in NYC - NONE of them are the top universities in the US, let alone the world. Dead there.
Proof?? What does "proof" revolve around? Do you still decare what you said about NYC?

Right. Mother Nature will have her due. We've held her back and kept a bunch of marginal people alive, but she'll come up with something. Obvious she doesn't like over crowding.

And yet we will continue to destroy the economy of the rest the country to attempt to save NYC from people like these & others of the same..........................Cuomo & DeBlasio are both idiots & azzholes.

Very sad & very stupid; time to impose mandatory quarantine there, soon to be followed by martial law if the response is not positive.

Has been said, to not know that you don’t know is to be deceived,

Two negatives make a positive. So they’re convinced they know. Some of those are the most belligerent about “being right”, dig in hard into their delusions.

They control far too much but have far too little worldly knowledge or insight. NYC is Mecca for self-important elitists who look upon us as the great unwashed idiots. What of any Substance does NYC contribute?

Taken on the whole, NYC is a cesspool, in all respects, with a few island of sanity.

They've allowed to city to become awash in human trash from all over the world, who, in reality, contribute nothing to the country other than sucking up funds & resources.

They declare themselves a sanctuary city & not subject to US law, but when all that schitt that they have created begins to come home to roost, the federal government (the rest of us) is now supposed to make them whole again.

Piss on NYC................unfortunately all their problems cannot be contained there, thus we now are forced to help them to help ourselves.

There's no sense in trying to incrementally change the country when you can completely tank the economy, move a portion, if not a majority of lower income workers to government assistance, which pays them more than their job, and also further increase the deficit.

Seems like this plan has been orchestrated perfectly. Careful who you agree with on this whole shutdown thing. They are likely getting ready to cut you in half.

Maybe we'll eventually look at 9/11 as a dismal failure??

Oh yeah!!! I'll bet it IS a whole lot more than the pubic numbers. Totalitarian governments just don't like bad news to leak out of their "blissful" states, so they lie about anything that might be negative.
