Antlers: Your reply is appreciated. My wife is a RN for 40 years and my 28 year old daughter is an ICU RN in the Dallas area. They are also pretty upset with folks like me. I guess I'm old and cynical and somewhat fatalistic. It concerns me greatly that this may be pushing us over the edge financially as a nation. I do respect and appreciate people like you.

Sir, Thank You. I respect and appreciate you as well. And I admire the commitment and dedication to the work of your wife and your daughter. As nurses, they are quiet heroes. An awful storm is upon us, and I hope that as many as possible...of all of us...come through it safe and healthy.

The virus is predominantly killing old people yet, I see old people out all over the place. The solution is simple. The old, the perpetually sick, and the fuggin pussies should all stay home while everyone else gets back to work. If you're young and get sick, stay home and eat chicken noodle soup... like we did in the oldin days way back in 2019. If you get the virus well, that sucks.. hope you survive. An no employment protection for the fuggin pussies.

My opinion, I see a bunch of people who are more than happy to "work from home" or take their furlough and collect a government check. I think deep down, a lot of people including many on this forum, are enjoying their little vacation and leisure. But it's going to come at a steep price.

I just hope some adults finally take control of the situation and say the jig is up... get your ases back to work.

Brother, you fuqkin nailed it. That sheit is spot on.

I appreciate it. When we get to the other side of this, I think a lot of people are going to wish we could go back and do things differently.

Somebody that's been on the fire for 30 seconds, just happens ta have two family members killed, and two disabled, by Covid?

What are the odds?

A lot better than you think they are.

The question is asked:
"So you think we should start the next Civil War?"

Ok good question. But it begs a few counter questions.

Do you think not fighting back is going to make the "left" stop attacking those that love the USA?

How well has surrendering your rights away worked out so far?

How many policies enforced today would have been laughed at only 20 years ago?

Do you think going along to get along is going to secure a better future?

Do you think the leftists inside our government are going to stop and leave you alone?

Do you think there is NOT going to be a war against you as a gun owner?

Do you think the communists are going to just give up and go away forever?

Do you think you can compromise yourself into a safer place?

Do you think there is not going to be a war just because your side doesn't start it?

Anything is possible.

But it would just support my contention that those that have been personally involved to whatever extent, will never be able to reconcile their differences with those that have not.

Just human nature.

I've had lots of family members die from all kinds of stuff. I hate it for you and your family, but I doubt we will get close to the numbers of any of the major killers of people in this country on a yearly basis. We don't shut down the entire country and trash out economy because of it.

It sucks when I realize I am in the same political party with far too many people like you. Then I look across the aisle at Pelosi and AOC and realize there's no good option.

I'm still working to, because it's essential that I pay my bills and feed the fuqking family. What's wrong with that?

I'm glad many foreign movies and other international programming available on YT and Netflix have an option to enable subtitles. When I use my remote to turn the option on I don't do it subtly, though. I mash those little buttons, and hard. When I want my subtitles on I want them NOW!

Just a little preview of living with socialism.

We may know the time Ben Carson lied, but does anyone know the time Hillary Clinton told the truth?

Political differences are nothing new. For now, we have a Republication President, Republication lead Senate, and a right leaning SCOTUS, and 26 of 50 governors are Republican.

With talk radio and alternative media, and the demise of the credibility of the MSM, we have a better voice now than anytime in the last 100 years.

Temporary emergency impacts on liberties are nothing new. We're being asked not to congregate, stay home, hang out with the family for a spell while this virus passes. None of this is unprecedented. There's no good evidence this is all some grand conspiracy, or that C19 is lab grown, or any of the other absurd hypothesis put forth.

We are not being asked to island hop the pacific, or go over the top, or have populations spend 4 years in internment camp, just stay home for awhile. Heck in this state they didn't even close the gun stores, and my outdoor range is still open.

The idea that the government response to COVID-19 in someway justifies a call to arms for the initiation of a second Civil War is absurd CRAZY TALK. Nothing I've seen justifies such thinking. Our institutions are still functions, and if you don't like the actions of your elected officials, it's an election year, go cast your vote.

The good news is that Trump ruled Gun Stores are essential businesses and can stay open during this schitt show.

TX Gov Gregg Abbott beat Trump to the punchline on this issue though.

They finally closed down the local Mall in my old hometown today. City of about 120,000. Folks will riot out here in NW TX. 🤠

How about everybody that wants to get out and about and expose people do what they want with the consequence being NO HEALTHCARE if they get sick with it...or anything else. Not just no hospital or ventilator, no clinic trips, no meds, no nothing. Prosecution for exposing somebody who later gets sick with it. Would that work?

Yeah,

Stay at home, post as usual. Get closer to your phone.

No one is paying attention to whats going on with all this downtime.

Id wager data collection, be it private or governmental, is like a minnow sein in springtime....
