Very sad...this was a mother and child. Not guilty of anything You ever hear of sins of the fathers? Exodus 20... I’m a New Testament kind of guy When an 8 year old child and a 40 year old mother die its a tragedy.

December 31, 1997, Michael Kennedy died in a
skiing accident in Aspen Mountain, Colorado.
He was playing football while on skis with
several other members of the Kennedy family
when, at approximately 4:15 p.m., he hit a tree.
Kennedy was not wearing a helmet or other
safety equipment. The family had been warned
by the ski patrol to cease the activity;
-Bulletproof and Waterproof don't mean Idiotproof.

Living on a smaller body of water (Long Island Sound) some people lack respect. Conditions can change in minutes and a couple small mistakes compounds the situation. Sad for the family but Mother Nature is a cruel b!tch.

Politics aside, and I don't agree with the Kennedy family's political agenda, they seem to be plaqued by one tragedy after another. I don't think it's stupidity, just bad luck. I don't rejoice in the deaths of women and children.

On the list of things to care about, how does this even deserve a mention? Some cold hearted ,sorry people here on the campfire nowadays. I always thought the hunters campfire was a place to discuss just about anything. A mother and her 8 year old son perished in an avoidable, but tragic accident. No compassion for that?

No sir, if you’re looking for compassion, empathy, or willingness to consider anyone else’s point of view at all you better look elsewhere. I try not to read or post a whole lot in this sub forum, but with recent boredom have been looking and reading more than normal, I’m sure it’s the same for most here. But some post all day long every day it seems, and I’m pretty sure the OP knew where this discussion would go when he posted the story of tragedy involving Kennedy relatives...
