I had four sons and losing one was the worst thing that ever happened to me...I even quit drinking for years because I was afraid of what I might do....
Nobody ever can understand unless it has happened to you..It sux big time and never goes away..
I always ask why not me instead..Older than dirt and lived a truly obnoxious life..

I join all the others here and particularly those who have lost a child to express our condolences.
Our daughter, Dawn, was 6 when she crossed the road and was hit by a pickup and died. The grief is indescribable and devastating, absolutely devastating. My heart breaks for you and your family. So sorry.

I saw this when I opened the fire this morning but I didn’t have the words....I still don’t. It’s been on my mind all day as I struggled to come up with the words and yet anything I say sounds anemic in the face of such loss.
All I can say is I’ve kept you and your family in my prayers and ask God to bring you comfort in this darkness. I watched my parents deal with the loss of my younger brother and it’s my belief that were it not for their faith the darkness would never have lifted. I pray that your faith carries you through this and the love of family and of strangers you’ve never met shines brighter than ever. If I can be of any help at all please let me know....

I am just now getting to read all of these and I appreciate each and every one. He was a fine young man, a good husband and a great father to a little girl that is a year and a half old. We know that God is with us and will help us through this.
