I live in SD more commonly known as"fly over country" by democrats we are a " right to work state".Wages aren't as good here as the Union states and we don't have the population density of those states guess that's why we aren't having a big a covid 19 problem either. It's here but not as bad yet. A couple weeks back the governor mentioned on her daily coronavirus update the shortage of hand sanitizer. Sources were saying they didn't know when they could come up with more. One very small company less than 10 employees, owners responded. Badlands distillery ( Prairie Dog Vodka) said they could easily convert to ethyl alcohol instead of drinking alcohol and willing did so. Yesterday afternoon a truck pulled up front of the SDDOT office where I normally work. The governor sent all of us home 3 weeks a go to "shelter in place" only time we come to work is when we really need to the majority are working remote or in the field. Well this guy dropped of 6 cases of 6 1.75liter bottles of 80 % ethyl alcohol for hand sanitizer use. A supply of 2.5 & 3 oz squirt bottles were acquired. I was there and volunteered to fill the bottles. Wasn't a big thing anyone could have done it, I am glad of the opportunity to help keep my fellow employees safe. Regular liquor bottles relabeled and deliver< 2 weeks only in America MB
PS Ford didn't take any fugging bailout money either.

I always suspected that the United Outta Workers were able to actually accomplish something with the right incentive, but I always thought that incentive would have to be named "Louisville Slugger"! Jerry

Even in a thread celebrating the spirit of America, you hateful whining do-nothings can not even bring yourselves to stand tall and salute.
You are an embarrassment.
Ford and UAW, attaboy. Show them how it’s done. Bingo. As usual...
Conduct is the best proof of character.

We need more of this stuff.
More positive altogether.
Less MSM. Positive kicks you in the A$$ everyday but you sleep right through it and blame a democrat cause ya missed it.
The end of democracy, and the defeat of the American Revolution will occur when government falls into the hands of lending institutions and moneyed incorporations.

this is why Obama tried so hard to run manufacturing out of America. I thought that he was blamed for bailing out the auto companies? I can't keep this blame game straight... If I recall correctly, Ford never received any bailout money. GM and Chrysler were the two bailed out by Obama.

I believe you are correct, Lennie.

If I recall correctly, Ford never received any bailout money. GM and Chrysler were the two bailed out by Obama. You're half right... Ford didn't use any of the TARP funds, they borrowed 5.9 billion dollars from a 9 billion dollar credit line of government money. Ford was in hawk up to their eyebrows from borrowing money prior to banks creasing to write loans. Ford was in the process of designing new engine technology, lack of funds was preventing them producing the new engines they felt they needed to be competitive.
