A good pie is a thing not only delicious, but also beautiful.

Very nice browning on that meringue! A deceptively simple thing that can actually be kinda tricky to pull off sometimes. Kudos to her.

A cherry pie was my birthday cake until I left my parents house heading off to college.

My 94 y.o. mother still requests lemon pie for her birthday. And, you better make it tart.

I remember our family eating at someone else's house. We were served pie for dessert, and I innocently asked, "What's this?" Got your back, Ma!

When I did my hunt in South Africa I was the only hunter in camp. The first night the outfitter’s wife laid out a big dinner, including pie for dessert.

I ate it all, but afterwards told her that I’m not big on dessert so she didn’t have to trouble herself with that.

The outfitter almost had a heart attack. Apparently the only time he got dessert when when they had hunters in camp.

Same here - just as long as somebody doesn't melt ice cream on hot pie.

Rhubarb pie does need to be rhubarb, and not strawberry rhubarb; strawberry can have its own pie.
