Yes, we DO need to return manufacturing capability to the US, even though it will cost more. We out-sourced too much in the name of less expensive goods and lost control over our supply lines.

Cost is a relative value. The price we're paying now must be a factor.

Subtract it from any debt they owe China. It's a way of hurting them, and it only needs a court judgement to justify.

Comlanies like Leupold and Nightirce will be directed to form a US Ioricak glass consorteum to make ALL OPTICAL GLASS used in US DEFENSE PRODUCTS in the USA. Or if Ziess or Schott wants to build a US plant to supply them glass, then fine.

We need to stop looking at manufacturing jobs as something only those not smart enough for college can do. That was the downfall that started this country down the current path more than 50 years ago. Henry Ford began that way of thinking with his statement that "the average working man had no more intelligence than an ox". Not everyone needs to go to college, with the increase in sophistication brought about by computers in manufacturing there is a need for intelligent employees.

Hopefully there are a lot of eyes being opened.
