Looking for a large ring to build on (Pandemic project). I plan to re-barrel, so barrel condition unimportant, as is the wood. Prefer complete rifle as I will be mentoring a youngster. Whatcha got?
Regards, Bob.

Yup, that's a nice one, Port. Too nice for what I have in mind.
Thanks.

I've got a Polish WZ 29 that has a 270 barrel headspace to it. I also have a 338 06, 6 284 and a 7 08 that need wood work and a finish put on them. I'll sell them without wood, but the barrels stay with them.

Those are all interesting, Cowboy, but I want to rebarrel as part of the teaching process. So am looking for something with an original barrel.
Thanks.

I have a Whites Stores Model 60 30/06. Built on a FN Mauser action. Barrel is not very good. Stock has been repaired. It is set up with a blind magazine so there is no floorplate. Has an adjustable trigger Timney ? Was going to build on it myself but you know how it goes. $275 shipped. Can send pics

Cowboy,
PM me details on the 338 06 if you're looking to clear it out, may be interested.

Cowboy,
PM me details on the 338 06 if you're looking to clear it out, may be interested. PM sent I forgot I have a 22-250 12" twist (I think) sporter weight barrel. This barrel is NOT headspaced to the action (I don't have gauges). Brazos, if you are interested I'll dig it out and see if it has been D&T and the bolt handle turned down.

Not a Mauser, but I have a Winchester 1917 with a shot out '06 barrel in a new sporter stock that has had the ears cleanly removed. Stock needs a buttpad. Metal needs refinishing. It would make a nice and durable medium bore or big bore. I'd be tempted to rebore over rebarrel.
PM me if it blows your skirt up.
