Have my eye on a new toy so opening the safe to see what I can let go so I’m gauging interest in the following;
NIB Ruger 99/44 Semi Auto .44 Magnum
Believe it was manufactured in 1999 as it’s in the factory 50th Anniversary box with all paperwork, factory Scope “High” Ring set (sealed). Rear site is a Factory Foldable Peep. Have Allen wrench still in envelope, Scope Protector in sealed bag, and Safety Cable Lock in sealed bag.
Recently checked GB and the only 2 NIB’s listed were starting at $1400 and $1600 and Used started at $999 with a bid against it.
Let me know your thoughts? If you’re interested in making an offer please PM me to keep discussion private.

I have one so not in need of another. I tend to watch the Ruger 44 carbines of all the different models. Things go up and down. Typically NIBs go 1300 to 1600. But occasionally a used one will bring nearly the same. If you are in no big hurry to sell and don't want to play the auction game 1500 seems to be happy seller,happy buyer price. The need to sell it now price would be 1200 and probable be gone in a couple days. I would run a reserve of at least 1300 on auction.
All that said market is going to be hard to predict right now. Thinking collectable gun prices are going to drop. People with money are going to hold off til those without money start letting the good stuff loose that they have been sitting on. With fewer potential buyers and a need to sell people might start settling for lower prices pretty quick.
It limits your market but I certainly would not run anything high dollar through auction right now without reserve.

Knowledgeable people arent buying much now. Lying in wait till cash gets tight and people start selling to buy groceries. IMHO. So many who are buying now are waiting for better pricing than the past year or two actual results. Plus, in many areas FFL's arent open due to business limits so the guns cant be shipped so people are hesitant to buy.

If it’s listed here that’s a real possibility but with current state but may hold off.
If interested follow through if not move on.......
Don’t need to sell but should go to a new home.....

Since we are just kicking the ball around here, I have a 96/44 NIB. Do they bring same, less, more than a 99/44 in like condition. I had never seen a 96 lever gun in 44 mag until I saw this one.

After doing more research I’m going to agree with mike7mm08 from everything I see.
So with that said I’m going to the “middle of the road” and price it at $1,300 plus S&H to your FFL.
I already have a PM offer close to this price but I believe what I’m listing at is fair and realistic especially being an Anniversary edition and having all the sealed accessories for a gun that’s NIB and 20+ years old.

Charlie Values of the 96/44s seem to bounce all over the map. Lately though you can figure about 900 to 1000 for NIB with most going about 950. A decent used example about 750 to 900 with most going just under or just over 800. At times NIB have gone around 1100 to 1200 cannot recall seeing one ever going more than that, but have seen them go for as little as 800. Seen decent used ones go for as little as 600 at times. Not nearly as stable of a market as the 99/44. I have two. One is factory original. I also lucked into a custom stocked one. Someone spent a ton of money to have one restocked in very high end walnut approaching exhibition grade in the butt section. If that was not enough it is a fulllength mannlicher style stock that has been fully glassed bedded. Absolute beautiful gun. I stole it for 650. The stock blank would of cost more.

I don't think people are here looking for retail "deals". If you think it's worth $1300, put it on the auction and let the free market decide.
