Couple of new knives #14772066 04/11/20

OP Ptarmigan Campfire Regular Joined: Jan 2006 Posts: 2,786 Anchorage	Last year I made a few knives and made a bunch of blanks. I hadn't touched any of it for a while but figured I had some extra time on may hands, so why not. Did my finish grinding and put some scales on them. I got the blades down to about .008" thickness before putting an edge on them. Pretty damn sharp! I wish I hadn't broken my second set of crosscut zebrawood scales as they would have looked nice being a pair. Didn't want to wait 3 weeks for more to come in.

Some of the fine details are hard to get right, but for now I’m looking for functional more than anything. I’m gonna send one to my uncle who came up and helped out on my sons first caribou hunt.
