Green tip,

Anyone using this extensively for deer? If so, why distances do you typically hunt. Any opinions on this factory ammo is appreciated.

I have shot 11 whitetail, mule deer, and antelope with the 270 Nosler Trophy Grade 130gr Accubonds. I have shot 4 whitetail and mule deer with the 264 WM Nosler Custom 130gr Accubonds. All animals died really dead and shots have been 50 to 340 yards.

Both loads are within 20 fps of advertised velocity, and both group 3 shot groups well within an inch at 100 yards consistently in my rifles. I have had really good performance with Nosler. I use them exclusively if I am not shooting my reloads.

I wouldn't expect the Ballistic Tips to perform any differently.

Bought some of this stuff for my 280 Ackley since I didn't have time to reload. Shot like chit. 2-3" groups at 100 yards. Handloads have rifle shooting right around 0.75" at 100 yards. Will kill chit...if you can hit it.

I haven’t bought a factory round in 40 years. My guns wouldn’t know what to think.
