I can't tell from your question mark if you were wondering what that means, or just guessing as to the patterning. It's a fungal discoloration, happens in a lot of different woods and makes great patterns. Last edited by longarm; 04/16/20. Reason: Typo

Quite honestly though Gene's pics of them were very nice, the knives in hand are absolutely stunning. Far surpassed my expectations. Very pleased here.
