I have a Burris 3x9 Mini from the 1980's. Would like to mount it on a HW 30 .177. Would this scope take the recoil of this springer? Don't want to kill it.

It will take it, no issues whatsoever. That little gun is easy on scopes, and the Burris will be a perfect fit.

You may want to reset the parallax to 20 or 25 yards. This is easily done by using a strap wrench to take off the front ring, then turning the front lens assembly until the target is in sharp focus and there is no shifting of the reticle on target when you move your noggin around behind the scope. You should be able to reset focus/parallax within a quarter turn or so, and no, it will not break the seal and let the nitrogen out.

Have fun, it will be an awesome little setup.
