Most Dexter Russell Knives are made in the USA. They are very affordable and of very high quality.

If I still worked, I'd give them a look. As it stands now I am looking for a USA made hangnail remover.

Assembled in the USA......

Made in the USA can be a deceptive term at times.

Example:

Newer mossberg shotguns
Receiver marked
Made in USA
north haven ct

Barrels marked
Eagle pass tx

Barrels are made in mexico
Trucked across border for assembly in Tx now.
Newer Mossberg barrels are stamped "made in Mexico".

No schitt!!!
They finally owed up to it.
Think the " newest one I have had was a 2011 or 2012 one
Have run into several 835 ulti mags at gunshows
Tree bark camo.
New haven barrels.

The 930 walnut feild I got back in feb
Eagle pass tx mark on barrel( Mexico)

And "made in usa" north haven receiver.

Unfortunately it isn't just the Chinese to blame for our situation... Companies want to make the greatest profit possible, unions price their workers out of the market and business has to go elsewhere.

Walmart demanded lower and lower prices and the only way some companies could deliver was going to overseas labor markets... I had already cut back my shopping at WM/SAM's from 95% of my shopping to 30%...after it was announced last fall they have partnered with Bloomberg and giving millions to his gun control program I am down to 0% and will shop there only in an emergency or someone gives me a gift card. You guys still shopping at WM...

I label shop everything I buy and have for decades...but there are just some things that are made in china and nowhere else...

Read an article that Snapper lawnmowers to then to pound sand. Wal-mart granted them an audience in Bentonville. Owner went in and told them how much he would sell their lawnmowers to them for and Wal-Mart told him to import Chinese mowers and put the Snapper name on them. They just wanted the brand on their shelves. Owner told them he wsnt going to do that and they black balled anything Snapper from their stores. This was probably 10 years ago. I dont know about now

I think the rest of the gun is still made in Conn... I bought a new 500 barrel last year and it is stamped "Made in Mexico" on the bottom where it wouldn't show on an assembled gun.

Some Redwing boots are still made in Minnesota. I bought a Bosch oil filter that was made in USA last week.

At least that’s in the same hemisphere.

I see several of those companies whose products are absolutely NOT 100% Made in the USA.

And not one post on this forum is made on a computer or mobile phone that was Made in the USA.

Irony.

I mentioned in the OP that the list was neither perfect nor complete, but rather a start. What's ironic about us using devices not made in the USA when there are no USA made options available?

The irony is that PCs and cellphones were originally designed and built here.

IBM in Fishkill, NY. Motorola and Tandy in Ft. Worth, TX, Apple and Commodore in Santa Clara/San Jose.

Of course, you couldn't proliferate the internet with $5,000 PCs. Everyone wanted a $300 PC so China sprung up. Taiwan and Malaysia tried but they were crushed by the sheer volume that China created with a loss leader that locked them in as the electronics manufacturing leader for the next twenty five years.
