Sierra has recently released a 6.5mm 130gr Matchking with a BC that supposedly rivals that of the Berger 130gr AR Hybrid. Anyone tried them yet? 👍🏻Or 👎🏻? John https://www.sierrabullets.com/product/6-5mm-130-gr-hpbt-matchking/

I may try some when I run out of AR hybrids. The 130 hybrids make .3” groups with my CTR.

Just got a box of 500 in. They better shoot!
They look pretty slick. Longer nose and shallower boat tail. Pointed from the factory. I’d be surprised if their BC wasn’t at least as good as the AR Hybrid’s.

Let us know how they go, I think 130 is the sweet spot weight wise for creed/260
I can’t get away from the 139 Scenar yet because I have a lot left, and they perform so well but my rifle loves the hybrid too, that is where I will go next

Substituted the 130gr MK for the 130gr AR Hybrid in a few rounds and tried them at 420. Group size for the Matchkings was almost identical to the AR Hybrid, maybe a hair smaller and they hit about .1 mil higher. A quick 3 round group to verify zero was same at 100 went about .4” and had exact same POI as AR Hybrid. I think they’re going to work.

The 130gr SMK is pointed as stated. For hunting they exhibit variable terminal performance. Not saying they won’t kill, but they can be erratic.
