Couple clubs close by are open....one never did close....go and shoot, with little change other than some don’t stand as close...most ride around the sporting course on clay carts sitting shoulder to shoulder and BS like always....

Shot at our club last Wednesday for the first time. Only restrictions were Club House was closed, only one person could enter at a time to use the rest rooms. Shot 5 stations for Trap as we were at least 6' apart, skeet shootesr looked normal, and walked to each station as a group, no masks were seen while I was there for either trap or skeet. Now we're in an area of the state that has very few cases and only a few deaths, so no one seems to concerned.

sadly, just because cases are low, doesn't mean the plague isn't present. as its reported, the plague is moving like a cloud across areas that haven't been effected yet. namely the Midwest. to drop ones guard can be a deadly mistake. we just spent the lockdown period in the Ozarks. 0 cases in my county. some practiced distance and mask, some didn't. but then again, there could have been cases out there. just not reported. some of those old farmers are literally (die)hards and just probably dismissed it as a BAD FLU. be careful. clay shooting isn't worth dieing for. 29 are dead in my home town here in va. 4 in ct. my home in ct is less than 50 miles from the nyc epicenter. why is it so low? they are still in lockdown and are doing the distance and mask thing. sometimes careful living wins.

if this was true, they wouldn't put front beads on shotguns. Then tell me why do men have nipples?

The really good shooters don't guess on where the barrel goes on the mount....They don't necessarily look at it, but most are aware of where it is at....
29 dead????? Ages and any underlying conditions....where were they living?

This thread needs updating.... I just started shooting skeet in a "fun" league at a local range.. ORSA (Oak Rdige Sportsman association) here in TN. wow is this addicting... I cannot wait to get to the range each week... I started out first round ever with a 28... then shot a 35 another 35 and now a 44... the guys there are super helpful giving me tips as we move around the field... been helping me a lot. This sure is gun...

This sure is gun... A round of skeet is 25 shots. I'm guessing your league is a 2 round (50 shot) league and the scores you mentioned are based on 50 shots. A 44/50 is pretty good for one's second outing.

Sako Is that the range that is set up by a set of TVA power lines? If so, I shot up there back about 1987-88 time frame. The people were really nice that I shot the tournament with.

Basically I just shoot trap games anymore. Shot them all bit was not much in it for the winner. Sure u could win500 or a 1000 dollars on a good day. But only after u spent a couple thousand to do it. So I go for games on trap and follow many different trap clubs. By the end of the season I can say I paid for my shooting by breaking even or maybe a little on top. And do it with a 16 ga.

In my area, there are not a lot of reloading shops or places to buy supplies. When I shot all the time I would have to drive about 2.5-3 hours to Gamaliel Shooting Supply in KY to get any kind of a decent price on supplies. Local supplies are limited to Bass Pro and one other place that is about an hour away that has shot, or maybe a few bags of wads. Primers are mainly kept by a few places that keep them in stock for the muzzle loading crowd that use the 209 primers and they may have a couple of thousand in stock. Powder is hit or miss but once again it is a good drive to any place that would even think about stocking it.

fair amount of scattergun ammo and loading supplies around here, primers are the wild card.. Flats are still about 55 for the cheap stuff

Old time GS here has power, but a jug of Greendot is $199, I passed. Shot 8's &7 1/2's was $39, limited types of wads and no primers. Glad I have some of each, should have enough for 2000 rounds, with hope of some more coming available this spring

anyone ever shoot the moon? rare shot indeed. every so often if you shoot enough, youll have odd things occur. this was from last oct's shoot at my place in mo. trap night birds...and the moon came up. the clays path flew right into the moon and I shot! got a pic just before it happened. look close. see it? wish he snapped as the target was exploding!
