For those of you that may have known him, John Anderson, long time friend and shooting buddy and long time editor of the Varmint Hunter Magazine, passed away last Friday morning. John had been suffering with Dementia, and was in lockdown in their local hospital. His wife Claudia, was unable to get in to see him, and John just quit eating and drinking anything. He was 79. Services will be held later. He will be sorely missed by his friends. RIP John.

Bad way to go.
If there’s a bright spot. Maybe the DeMentia kept him from knowing he was alone.
My grandmother suffered from it. At the end, not sure she even knew who she or us were.

I met John in person and talked with him on the phone a few times. He developed the 17VHA from 4.6x30 brass, ( circa 2010) I started messing with it also. Loved the small case, built my own design, we talked small case cartridges one day in Pierre back when the VHA was still alive and well. I found him a class act, very nice man. My condolences to the family.
