Had a beard solid since 1986 and before that off and on for several years. I would occasionally would get up to go to the jon, and get a wild hare and shave it. The last time was in 1986 when my younger son was about 3. Did the deed at about 2:30 in the morning. Got up the next morning, went to breakfast, and as I sat down, the boy took one look at me from his high chair and screamed bloody murder. I took the hint and kept the beard ever since.

Had that happen to a coworker at a place that was purchased by another company. Rumor was they were going to require everyone to be clean shaven. Cliff shaved his off, came out of the bathroom, his five year old screamed and ran to mom asking " Mommy, who's that man?".
The rumor was wrong, I never shaved. Cliff was pissed!

Hate shaving. Have had a beard since 16. 34 now. Shaved it off this year due to covid and working in a ER. Never knew I was a hipster because I had a beard. Right now I’m rocking a pornstache and soul patch to be funny. The beard will be back soon though

Sometimes when they looked at me, they got scared. Had a lady friend tell me once while skating that the kid skate guard dude wanted me to take off my hat. I asked why he didn't come ask himself. Said the kid called me "that biker looking dude".
Beard, long hair, felony glasses, and a watchcap? Levi's, T shirt, and a flannel? What's to be scared of?

Now, since the beard is 98% white, I get called Santa by kids in the grocery store..............in June even.
