And yet, you "never-cruisers" will blithely go to a concert, a sport arena, a car race, a movie - or a truck stop restroom. LMAO Apples and watermelons... No comparison... While I don't normally do large crowds, I could walk away from any of the venues you mentioned in a heart beat and be on my way home. Anytime I wanted... Unlike the floating petri dishes where people were confined to state rooms for weeks at a time while the vessel sat at anchor waiting for "someone" to allow them to dock and disembark... No comparison...

Orion, the very valid comparison is that you voluntarily choose to nestle yourself among a few thousand or tens of thousands of perfect strangers, any or all of whom can cough, sneeze, spit, or otherwise leave their pet microbes on you. The fact that you can leave after you receive said microbes is quite completely moot - except that you can then spread them even farther.

offered me 125% on a future cruise credit, I chose to get a refund (which has yet to arrive - along with my airfare from Delta)
We got our money back from Viking a few days ago. They had promised 21 business days from the date of my request. It took about a couple of days longer.

You and others enjoy cruises, others don't. Rocket science (pun intended).

We are scheduled to go on a Royal Caribbean leaving Port Canaveral, FL week after Thanksgiving. No plans on canceling or rebooking. They sent us an email taking $100 off each ticket.
Looking forward to the trip!
