I have several sixteen that I am fixing to start reloading for. I bought some shot locally but am having a time finding wads for 1-1/8 oz. shot. Where are you getting your supplies from? Thanks.

Ballistic Products has lots of wad options. They have a 16 ga loading manual, but I strongly discourage buying it. I did, the stack height on the loads I tried from it were way off. Mine went in the trash.

Yep, BPI seems like they put together loads more designed to sell their products than shoot well. Several guys have posted that some of their loads were way higher on pressure than BPI claimed. A couple sent some off to be tested and thry came back way over pressure. Precision Reloading and Graf's are where I get most of my 16 ga stuff. The DR-16 wad is the best one out there for 3/4 and 7/8 ounce loads in most of the hulls we load today, but it's out of stock everywhere due to a storm taking the roof off the factory.

For you 16 ga.needs BPI is pretty much a one stop shop. Grafs is my alternate best bet. Precision Reloading also carries some 16 ga. but seems to usually be out of the 2 1/2" hulls I shoot in my Parkers.

A note on BPI load data: Use very carefully, seems like it runs "hot" frequently (pressure wise). This from my fellow PGCA reloaders.

Anyone try Recob's out of WI? I think they're in Prairie du Sac north of Madison.
