Congratulations for the efforts of the young man!
Something decent to stand on is the least a parent could do for a young man so engaged in working up a blade!
Ya know a cardboard box is going to collapse sooner of later!

The little scamp sent me a text this morning. Seems he will not be getting the scales in for his knife until Monday, and he wants to get with me on Wednesday about making a sheath for his knife.

I figure I can come up with something!

He's developing skills that will give him a lifetime of satisfaction plus that ability to earn a little money to support his outdoor pursuits. Gunsmithing, knifemaking and leatherwork have paid for many of my hunting trips over the years, plus I've made loads of custom gear at the cost of just the materials.
