I have for sale an older Walnut Mountain Rifle in 30-06. A few small dents in wood. Comes with classic ring and base set shown. I have never shot this rifle but picked up from a friend who said it shoots very well and well under an inch with some loads. Looks like this one has the earlier floorplate, as opposed to the later drop box magazine. The floorplate rifles are considered the more desirable.

Free bump. Other than the Classics, I think these are one of the best configurations Remington put out. I bought the first .280 MR I could find when they came out. Shot lots of game with it and finally let it go when I picked up a Weatherby UL .280 which I really like but I'm still not sure it's a better mousetrap. Good luck with your sale.

I purchased one of these when they came out, chambered for 7mm/08. Darn thing is better than MOA with most loads and really loved 160 gr SGK's!
Still have it in my safe as I can't bear to part with it! Great Rifles! Good Luck!

Sorry, I was caught up in something last night but I finally managed to get a weight for you Fenton.
On my Polouze scale with the one piece steel base and steel rings, it weighs 7.25 pounds.
