I've had PM's from a couple of good folks lately, telling me they are avoiding the forum at least for a while.
Too much negative talk, and plain rudeness.

The coolest feature this forum has is it offers you the ability turn off anything you don't wanna read with just a click.....
Or you can read away and then whine about what you have read..... It is like a menu. We have complete control over the choices we make. If we have had the chicken before and know we don't like it, we are idiots if we keep ordering it. Hell, this menu will even let us remove chicken from the choices. Who could get tired of chicken? Is this some sort of veiled racism?

I can't blame them. Rude behavior is tolerated on 24HCF. Ric allows the discussion to go pretty much wherever the go with few, if any, restrictions and that emboldens some people to act offensively. Isn't that the whole purpose of the "ignore" option? To allow users to avoid engaging with other users who they find offensive?
