I had a triple in 09 and another in 11, a good pillow is as much of your friend as a recliner, cause ya will cough and it aint fun, and the recliner is way better than a bed for a while. hold the pillow on your chest with both arms then cough its a lot better that way. Prayers sent for you and all the people working on ya in the am .

Best of luck to you, Tracy. You’ll do fine! .... a good pillow is as much of your friend as a recliner, cause ya will cough and it aint fun, and the recliner is way better than a bed for a while. hold the pillow on your chest with both arms then cough its a lot better that way. Prayers sent for you and all the people working on ya in the am . Sound advice. Get some sleep. Tomorrow starts a bonus go-around not every one gets to enjoy, and wish you plenty of good times and outings to come.

A friend was about ready to get wheeled in for bypass surgery and was getting a little anxious. He asked his nurse "What are my chances of dying?" "100%," she replied.
He said the joke lightened the mood, and everything turned out just fine.
Good luck.

My dad had a triple, it went really well. He was literally like a new man after the procedure.
Good luck. You'll do well.

Take this time to start a healthy lifestyle. Eat right, and avoid salty foods. Recovery will be slow and then one day you will wake up and feel like a new person. Buy some good books, and all will go great. Best advice I have is, keep a positive attitude.

In May 2008 I had open heart-- CABG x4--- Feb 2009 I competed in a 42 story Stair climb in Albany NY. and broke my record by 2 sec. ----- What you do before and after CABG is Important. Use your pillow and cough--- cough and cough the more the better------ Exercise ----- Walking is great. -- go to rehab. Exercise and exercise... Check for sleep apnea . The only time I slowed down from Hunting -hiking- woodcutting -- fishing --you name --since May of 2008--- was a few months of recovery. Good luck----- If you're having a valve replacement --- PM me. Valves can be replaced by Cath. and they don't have to crack your chest. Good luck -- Web

Let us know how it goes, from the sound of it, it sounds about like riding a motorcycle and motorcycle wrecks, those of us who ain’t had one yet will one day.
Good luck with all this and I’ll say a prayer for ya 🙂
