Was at the range today, first day open in two months, anyway I had loaded some ammo to test accuracy with two different powders, RL15 and RL17.. I Was shooting 300 gr Shock hammers. One group was 73 gr of RL 15, the other was 76 gr of RL 17. Both grouped about the same, about 1.5 moa @ 100 yards. That was fine. When I got home and had a chance to look at the fired cases, one thing looked out of place. Both loads were made from virgin RWS 375 H&H cases.looking inside the necks the RL 15 cases were much darker, a hard black carbon coating, not soft at all and very thin. I could not see any brass coloration. The RL 17 cases were much cleaner (?). They had a very light, thin grey coating that the brass color was easily seen through. I'll make up some more rounds and check them again. The RL 15 powder is Swedish manufacturer. The RL 17 is made in Switzerland. Have any of you seen anything like this? Have no idea if it means anything. JM
