I have owned a couple dozen Turkey shotguns over the last 33 years of Turkey hunting ( auto's, pump's and even a couple single shots) Some I liked, some I loved, and I owned a few others that I could not get rid of fast enough 😁.....For the past few years My favorite has been a Benelli M2 12ga with a 21" barrel. I am a run and gun type Turkey hunter so the short barrel makes it a delight to carry through the woods .....What is your favorite Turkey shotgun to date?...This should be interesting as everyone will have a favorite for their own individual reasons👍......Hb

Benelli M1 24" camo turkey gun, 12 gauge of course. Killed a heck of a lot of gobblers for me over the years. Doubles as my predator calling gun too. Coyotes, fox, bobcat, coons, crows, hogs... not even sure all the different critters that old Benelli has taken for me over the years. Hunted hard and packed miles and miles in all sorts of weather and it has never failed me. I have more confidence in that gun than any other I've ever owned.

My hands down favorite was the Pedersoli 10 bore double hammer gun. I killed many birds with that thing, used it for a lot of shotgunning stuff, even trap. Turkey, pheasants, geese, clay targets all fell to it. I was even published about it in the now defunct "Blackpowder Hunting" magazine. In the timeI was using it, I was invited on many hunts with the stipulation that I had to use it, and no other shotgun. One time shooting trap, I was asked to stop using it as you could no longer see the targets for all the blackpowder smoke! LOL! In one of my dumber moments, I let it go, and truly miss it to this day. Not enough, I guess, to get another one, but I do miss it. I've had M1's and SBE's, 1300's, 870's, 835's... all 12 gauge. Now I'm putting together an 870 20ga after reading all the positive press about a 20ga.. But my favorite, so far, remains the Pedersoli.

If I were to ever go back to a 12 gauge I’d take a 20-24” barreled 835.

My Youth 870 20 gauge has replaced all my 12 gauges.

870 12ga, 3”, 26” barrel.

Started with a 28”, too much, bought a shorter one, 21” I believe...didn’t like it. Went to a 26”, just about right. I’d try a 24” if they made one. I use Wingmasters for my upland guns, so just feels familiar to me.

In the 90s I killed a pile of turkey with an American Arms Turkey special. It was a matte black SxS 3.5” 12ga. The barrels didn’t hit even close to the same POI and I shot Nitro Ray’s shells when he was first getting started. Loved that gun.

20ga O/U. If TSS had been around when I started with it, it probably woulda been a 28ga.

My grandpa's old Fox Sterlingworth 12 gauge sxs with 30" full and modified chokes... Made in 1910, so the chokes are really like full and extra full when you shoot modern plastic wads through it... I've never missed a turkey with it yet...

My Grandpa had a very similar shotgun. He left it to My uncle, Though he did leave me his Marlin 336 30-30 which I cherish, id love to have his old double barrel someday and have a chance to kill a turkey with it ......Hb

I would say it would be a toss up between my 870 20 ga and my Wby 459 20 ga. I guess the Wby would win by a slight margin just because it shoots just a hair tighter/better pattern.

I may not be smart but I can lift heavy objects

I have a shotgun so I have no need for a 30-06.....

I’m still fresh to the turkey hunting, 5 years now. Started with a 870 super mag with hevi shot mag blends. Killed several with it but I don’t like recoil.
Went to a 21” 1187 20 gauge and I’ve hunted several other 20s since but always return to it. I guess that would be my favorite, it’s a little heavy for a 20 but balances very well and have almost no recoil
