30 miles away out the front window.

Not killer, killer, but one helluva lightning show headed this way.

Tornados down 20 miles east of here in NE Colorado. Flared up 5 miles east of us and kept heading east.

Stay safe!

We got a pretty good storm in Helena last night about midnight. It was enough to wake me up.

Seems early, also seems like I was constantly dodging and sometimes getting caught by thunderstorms the whole trip in Montana last summer.

I hope your cattle are OK.

We used to have some dandies here but we've been in the quiet part of the cycle. We'd watch them roll into the hills 6 miles west of us and pound the crap out of the hills. That's summer grazing land, funny there are no cooked beef sales. Then the high point being straight west, the storm would slide north and pound Rosholt or slide south and hammer Peever or Willmot. Fun to watch, cool on time lapse radar.

What's in a name? There's Hammer, SD nearby but the storms always pass south of there. Hammer never gets hammered.

Glad you made it without serious trouble. I saw 80mph wind and large hail in the NWS warning.

This is a spot on the ground not far south of Havre looking towards Great Falls about 100 miles away, I actually spent a pretty good night there last summer, just had a nice feel to the place for whatever reason.

Through the course of the night I also watched a friggin' thunderstorm come after me from clear on the other side of Great Falls, flashing and flickering all the way.

A near miss; all it did right where I was huff and puff and sprinkle some, most of it passed just to the south and it didn't blow the house down, woulda blown it away though if I wasn't inside it.

I miss thunder storms.

All we get here is piss and drizzle.
