Not too crazy here. Grocery store closes at 8 instead of 10 now for some unknown reason. But if it saves one life...

You know it will never go back to 10 pm, Same store has all employees wearing masks on the floor. You can see them putting them on as they come out of the break room. and small Plexiglass panels in front of the cashiers that do nothing but be a nuisance.

Same store was selling 10 pound tube grade burger at $4 a pound. Yesterday they had same product at $5/lb. with a big "In Store Special" sign over it. Bozos.

Oh, heard in a PBS news break that cattlemen were researching how to not bring cattle to market weight so fast to avoid loosing money on too fat cattle.

Um, not feed them so much grain?

You're welcome. PM me on where to send my consultant's fee. (I'll take it in tube burger.)

One local grocery. Signs about masks, one way isles, plexiglass,
employees acting like Stasi. They don't do a dam thing with the carts.

Another one, 9 miles away, local owned.

Laidback, no real changes that affect costumers. (The Gov requires masks)
But, they are paying someone to grab every returned cart, and wipe it down.

Who is actually more effective.

The c-store my wife runs.
No coffee mugs.
Coffee is moved behind the counter, they serve it.

At least it makes sense and is effective. If slow.

Oh yeah, forgot the one way aisle stickers. Not sure if people go the wrong way on purpose or mostly just ignore 'em. It's the nature of people around here to not like being told what to do. Particularly if they're paying for the privilege. And I never did see a customer wearing a mask. Tell me I need a mask I'll abandon the cart and head for the door.

A woman around here was driving in her own car with a mask on. She passed out and crashed into a tree. I've also seen plenty of people outside, walking by themselves, wearing masks and gloves.

I know where you live. One teller for an hour a day would be able to handle the entire population of Modoc.... by Wednesday. wink

Considering there are a couple of commercial banks too, where some folks still do business.................to heck with Wednesday..........it might only take a coupla hours.

If it saves only one life...why not reduce the interstate speed limit back to 55? While we're at it, adopt the metric system too that way the speed limit seems high at 88 kilometers per hour.

I'm all for safety, but no consistency or logic in many places. It's all about control, control, control.

A lot of truck stops won't let you fill up your own mug with coffee. But you can use the cup they give you to fill up, then pour it into your mug. Also, you can't get your own lid, they have to hand it to you.

It's not Chinese, it's commies. And that includes ours right here at home. Pelosi, Schumer, Clinton, Obummer, I believe with all my heart they're right in there with the Red Chinese and planned this whole affair to get Trump.

OK call the guys in the white suits with nets to come get me! Yeah I'm a little crazy but I'm not stupid. These jerks have proven to me they are capable of ANYTHING, and I mean ANYTHING! to achieve their goal of getting rid of Trump so they can commence with making this place a socialist country!

I guess the magical airborne fart virus that can live on the bottom of your Nike's for 12 months gets exponential between the hours of 8p and 6a.

Stopped at a rez grocery yesterday. They had a little outbreak where 3 teens and a young 20 something all caught the corona. Wonder how that happened???

Anyway, the town is spooked and "locked down" so to speak. Sign on the grocery says masks required. Without one, you're gone.

Another sign on same door says anyone wearing a mask or hoodie is not allowed in????

Went to home depot a couple weeks ago. Park and go to walk in the contractors entrance like always. As I come around the corner to go in, I am met by a guy that says this entrance is closed. Have to use the other. My wife and I have different versions of what happened next. Mine is that I said F this [bleep]. She claims told sent the F-word directly to and at said employee.

As we are leaving the parking lot, I see the other entrance and there is a line stretching from there, halfway to the contractors entrance. Screw them. Went to Lowes, walked in the contractors entrance, loaded up, paid and left. Easy-peasy
