New McMillan M70 “Edge” stock for a Pre64 Winchester Model 70. Has larger magazine cut out for H&H cartridges. Brown with black flecks and red pad. I measure the Lop at 13 5/8” and weight at 22 oz. Purchased this with a 300 H&H rifle, here on the fire, and never installed. $550.00 shipped.

It’s my understanding that aluminum pillars are standard on all Edge stocks.

Forgive my ignorance, but is it possible to fit a New Haven Classic in this stock?
What would need changing?

Hole spacing is different.

OP, barrel channel is factory channel for 300 H&H?
Can you verify the weight?
Thanks!

I weighed it before posting and it was 22 ounces. My scale may be a bit questionable, so + or - an ounce.

You could check with McMillan, but I believe a standard action will fit fine. There is just some extra space around the magazine.

Found a couple more scales to try. Both are probably better than the first one I used. One says 24.6 ozs. And the other 25 ozs.

Barrel channel is for the 300 H&H, but I believe it’s the same as a 30-06 etc. The only other M70’s I have around are featherweights, so can’t confirm.
