Not first hand but inrangetv did a review on one and the rear lense fell out. They tried a second one that worked but had a scratch on the lense.

The Freedom?

I have one with the CDS turret. The glass is super clear but the optic is kind’ve “tube-y” compared to other dots. The CDS tracks accurately.

The turret is the only reason to see to choose one and that’s a pretty specialized application.

Yes, the freedom.

I can’t find one local to handle and look through.

Unless you need a 1x optic with a turret I wouldn't get too worked up about it.

I don’t need a turret. Anything else you would recommend?

Just the usual recommendations.

MRO if you like Trijicon, PRO if you’re on a budget, or the Micro versions if you’re baller.
