They reported the posted guard was hit in the chest, but body armor stopped the round...early yesterday.
It's good to know that after that hit, she had the presence of mind to engage the barrier and then kill the guy.
I'm wondering where the "2nd Terrorist" comes into play?
Was there one?
It seems most all of these shootings are reported to have another shooter that mysteriously fades away...

Good on her, but I don’t think they should have released all the details they did.
You can bet the next radicalized raghead will know not to shoot for the chest. It was a surprise attack and he could just as easily shot her in the head.

Wow ! She’s one tough sailor to take one to the chest and still respond ! I have a friend who took an AK round dead center of the chest and he said he almost wished he had died. He described it as getting hit in the chest with a 8 pound sledge hammer. He also nearly died from the bruising to his heart. I know a pistol round isn’t a rifle round but I’m sure it knocked the wind out of her. Great for her and great for America to be defended by the likes of her !

Would it not be PC to let the gate guard have the head mounted and hang it on her wall at home? Or even on the side of the guard house?
I think it is pretty common knowledge that our warriors, be they Soldiers, Marines, Airmen, Seamen, or Coasties wear body armor. Hell, most cops do these days. I don't think anyone is releasing any state secrets.
Though, I am grateful this terrorist was too stupid to aim for the head.
