Mounting a Leupold 4.5-14x40 30mm on a 700 Rem. Want to keep the scope as low as possible. Do I need low or extra low Talleys?

Yep give them a call their real good at figuring out ring height needed depending on rifle model, main tube diameter, and objective... My guess is low.

You can run extra lows. I have a 6.5-20x40mm on a Rem 700 in extra lows.

Is your scope a 1" or 30mm tube?
