It seems that any time someone feels the need to express his dislike for something, be it beans in chili or ice in whiskey, it is important to point out that the object of interest (to Scovillize it) receives a subsidy. It would be interesting to see a complete list of everything that receives a federal subsidy. I imagine that there would be some surprises. (Of course, it would still remain that the things riding on one's ox would be entirely justified in receiving same, while those things not approved of would not.)
