As 17s attempted to locate the patient, the crew overheard and was told by several people that the police 'had killed the man.' Bystanders were upset but not unruly. No clear info on pt or location was given by either initial pd officers or bystanders. Crew finally located an officer inside the store who stated HCMC medics had loaded the patient and relocated from the scene. E17 encountered an off-duty firefighter who had witnessed the end of the struggle and witnessed the pt go from struggling to unresponsive on the ground while handcuffed and subdued by PD. Dispatch notified E17 that medics needed Fire code-three, and E17 relocated to 36th & Park Ave.
Two crew members got in ambulance. Medics had Lucas device working on an unresponsive, pulseless male. Pt had advanced airway secured; E17 took over ventilations and also assisted medics getting IV and meds prepared. Crew accompanied medics to HCMC STAB room, continuing w/ ministrations. Medics performed pulse checks several times, finding none, and delivered one shock by their monitor. Pt's condition did not change. E17 helped get pt into STAB room, continuing ventilations until relieved by ER staff.

Is the answer "pandering"?

No, the answer is “because whatever is on the body cams, won’t stop the rioting.”

A Minneapolis bar owner claims both George Floyd and Derek Chauvin, the officer who subdued Floyd with his knee, worked as security guards for her business.

Maya Santamaria told ABC 5 News reporter Eric Rasmussen that she was shocked to realize that two former employees of her south Minneapolis bar were involved in a deadly altercation that has led to riots and protests.

"They were working together at the same time," Santamaria said. "What if he could've just said, 'Hey man, you and I have worked together at Maya's place. ... Remember me?'"

Floyd died Tuesday after sustaining injuries from a police arrest during which Chauvin placed his knee on Floyd's neck.

Santamaria said she did not recognize either of the men initially from the cellphone footage but later confirmed that both of the men did, in fact, work for her during overlapping periods of employment.

"My friend said, 'This is your guy, the guy who used to work for you,' and I kept saying, 'It's not him,' and then, they did the close-up, and that's when I said, 'Oh my God, that's him!'" Santamaria said, speaking of Chauvin.

Santamaria, who clarified that she was unsure whether the two men knew each other, said that Chauvin had a "short fuse" and was quick to escalate situations at the bar.

"He sometimes had a real short fuse, and he seemed afraid when there was an altercation. He always resorted to pulling out his mace and pepper-spraying everybody right away, even when I felt it was unwarranted," Santamaria added.

Santamaria said she didn't initially recognize Floyd when she saw the video but immediately knew he was a former employee when she saw pictures of him on the news.

"I didn't recognize George as one of our security guards because he looked really different lying there like that," said Santamaria. "It wasn't until I saw the pictures of him come up. Then, it snapped."

ABC News 5 reached out to both the Minneapolis Police Department and Chauvin's attorney but did not receive a response from either party.

Watching the videos, Officer Derek Chauvin doesn’t appear to be one of the original two officers on the scene.

Is this correct?

Majority of the posters on here say they watched the entire video unedited but none now can produce any evidence that they in fact did.

I’d post links to the videos (plural), but nobody would click on them.

I haven’t seen any reports that indicate what they’re charging him with, only that he’s been arrested and is in custody.

https://bringmethenews.com/minnesot...auvin-arrested-for-death-of-george-floyd

.......The arrest of Derek Chauvin was announced by Minnesota DPS Commissioner John Harrington.

Hennepin County Attorney Mike Freeman has said he will announce new developments in the Floyd case at 1 p.m., suggesting that criminal charges may soon follow.

Chauvin, a 19-year veteran of Minneapolis PD, was fired on Tuesday following Floyd's death on Monday.

The arrest was made by the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, which has been conducting the investigation into Floyd's death.

Video taken at the scene showed Chauvin holding his knee to Floyd's neck for several minutes, with Floyd saying "help" and "I can't breathe" while he was held.

Three other officers at the scene have also been fired. At this stage there are no word on arrests of these men.
