Got a rifle throwing a 2 inch horizontal group consistently, with about .25 vertical. Multiple bullets/loads.
What’s going on? 10x SS.

Vertical is mechanical,always.
Odds are,it's a front or rear sling stud drag under recoil.................

Well apparently I suck at shooting from those welded benches. Went back to shooting laying in the dirt and all horizontal stringing went away.
Did you put up the metal gongs at the top of the pit?

Diagnosis unchanged, but prognosis improved.(grin) Tough for me to dope parallax, with the particular rest you cite and everything is the wrong elevation and ergo's there. 6x's more forgiving by design, than 10x's,12x's or 16x's and a Dirt Flop certainly trumps the "rest" attempt. I don't have any Centerfire Steel set closer than 450yds and shooting the Titanic inside the 190yd line, really ain't my jam...exceptin' perhaps Grock 34 giggles. Have bought/made a bunch of movers/swingers and keep a few in my crummy, along with distantly/dastardly Rimfire Sillywets and a MEAN 1/4" KYL for same. Have done a good job thus far,not shooting any of my Hummers or Whizzums at said steel. The Long Range Rimfire Game, being more fun than everything else combined.................

Long Range Rimfire Vermin Pursuits, are a fhuqking RIOT. Depending on atmospherics and hunting pressure,I'll take it over Centerfire Pursuits of same. Hint.
The Rimfires will learn you more, everyone can hear, mirage is tougher to induce on spouts and the laughs inherent are fhuqking Epic.
Hint..................

Ping pong balls for the win. Once you've wrestled everything else in life is easy. Dan Gable I keep my circle small, I’d rather have 4 quarters than 100 pennies.
Ain’t easy havin pals.

Joel,
For future reference, you might wanna take into consideration, just how easily Snowflakes Melt...the "lucky" kchunts. Hint.
I personally enjoy how it's no "act".
Bless their hearts.
