It used to be that HD and Lowes had better customer service. Lately it seems that they dropped to Menards level.
If you love someone set them free If they come back no one else liked them Set them free again

They're the Harbor Freight of Lumberyards. Their stuff. is often cheaper, but, you'll pay for it.

I've been in the one in Nebraska, kinda like a super Walmart, Lowes, Sam's club all rolled into one. I enjoyed going, didn't buy anything, just visiting family ant taged along with them.

We buy most all that type of things at Menards. Sioux City has all three stores, more cars, pickups parked at Menards than the other two combined.

I would rate Menards to be about 100X's better than a Lowes or Home Depot.
In every way.

It's been a few years since I lived near a Menard's, but IIRC they sometimes had some unique stuff that you wouldn't find at Home Depot or Lowe's, despite a lot of overlap, of course.

In our area, the local Menards is far superior to HD & Lowe’s...and they haven’t caved to all the signs being bilingual.
Fear the crabcat.
