I was able to pick up this Kimber Pro HD recently. I replaced the blackish/blue synthetic grips with these Hogue. It’s a Super Carry Pro HD. It does resemble that Ed Brown. The same slide serrations are on the front and back strap.

Yes it stands for heavy duty.
I have a Ruger light weight commander too. It has thin grips and I put a Novak adjustable rear sight on it. It’s probably one of my favorite and most accurate handguns.
