When food distribution paranoia started to peak around the end of March, I bought a 3.5 lb. can of powdered milk. I figured it'd get used up somehow....baking, etc. I didn't realize how much I would come to rely upon a 1 qt. mixture which incorporates 1 cup powder milk, 1/2 cup Ovaltine and 32 oz warm water. Shake well and leave in fridg overnight, and you're rewarded with this amazing creamy, chocolatey, malty mixture that is great when hot & thirsty with a pull from my backcountry water jug.
