Testing of my G44 has proven it to be just as accurate as any other 22LR in like weight and size.

And if anybody disparages the original LCR's accuracy it's because they struggle with DAO.

Holds eight rounds, shoots anything from CB's to Stingers, and is accurate as fugk. Gophers and rabbits don't stand a chance.

I wouldn't disparaged it but a fixed sight, DOA, 1 7/8" barreled revolver vs a Double/Single, adjustable sight, 3" barrel revolver (assuming same quality in both) is an easy choice to make if accuracy is a consideration.

I have not used the DOA model, but my 3" LCRx 22lr is one the best guns I've ever used. 100% reliable, great trigger, accurate, light. I need to get one in 357 too, since it sounds like the 327 probably won't be coming.

The TX22 is a great option, for the price, great trigger, accurate, not ammo picky and solid design/build.

Ruger LCRX 22 is a revolver option, longer barrel, accurate, coated same as the LCR.

I have one and like it pretty well. I posted a review here a few months back with my impressions.

While I'm coming to the Glock 44 party a little late, I did get out today, finally, to test mine. I took 17 varieties of ammo and my Ransom Rest. I wanted to see just how accurate , or inaccurate, it might be. I was impressed with the accuracy. I was also impressed with its reliability. With a wide variety of ammunition.

Despite the many reports of failures with cheap ammo, Remington Thunderbolt to be specific, I never had a failure with it. I also was admonished to not use anything other than high velocity offerings. Interesting that five standard velocity loads all functioned perfectly. CCI's subsonic functioned perfectly. the Fiocchi subsonic functioned fine in the Ransom Rest but gave me 11 failures to extract/stovepipes out of 20 rounds when fired offhand. I fired 10 rounds of each from the Ransom Rest and 2 magazines full offhand on steel to get a sense of how all the ammo functioned from a normal shooting position, offhand in this case. The Ransom Rest is considerably more rigid than a human hand and as the Fiocchi showed, it let ammo function that wouldn't from a normal position. I know two magazines doesn't make an empirical test but it gives me somewhat of an idea what to expect.

Other than the Fiocchi subsonic, CCI Mini Mag and the Winchester Small Game HP gave me 4 and 3 failures to extract respectively. One from the CCI while in the Ransom and 2 in the rest with the Winchester. Three failures offhand with the CCI MM and 1 with the Winchester. Everything else functioned flawlessly.

At one pound with a full magazine I can see this riding in my daypack as an augment to my rifle and/or big bore handgun, or in a side pocket on my pack for a backpack hunt. I think I could justify the extra pound for the versatility it would add to a backpack hunt. Or on my hip for those times I go out with a rifle but no big bore handgun. Or for those times in the winter when I want to have a light 22 with me for the occasional rabbit or ptarmigan. This little shooter has a lot to offer in my opinion.

Nice write up. The Blazer was accurate in mine and 100% reliable.

I was most surprised by the standard velocity and the CCI subsonic that they functioned flawlessly.

Appreciate all the info and testing guys. I guess I'm leaning toward a revolver for simplicity.

I carry a 3" M63 constantly, but the 3" LCRx is 9oz lighter. We have a winner.
