Just another reason to boycott Dallas. I hate going there each January for the Dallas Safari Club convention.

https://www.kxii.com/content/news/D...er-statue-from-Love-Field-571049601.html

A published account of brutal and racist chapters in the history of an elite Texas investigative agency has prompted Dallas officials to remove a statue from Love Field's passenger terminal that honored the agency.

The bronze statue of a Texas Ranger, called “One Riot, One Ranger,” has been a focal point in the terminal since 1963.

A new book on the Rangers, “Cult of Glory,” offered chilling details about dark chapters of the Rangers' history.

Arriving amid acute racial tension aroused by the death in Minneapolis police custody of George Floyd, the book prompted officials to remove the statue Thursday.

I have some sites in Dallas that we manage. I got this statement from the Dallas Uptown Board. Check out chief Hall's advice...................

Dear Uptown Board Members and Stakeholders:

I am just returning from Chief Hall’s now daily Protest Update and I want to share some important information. Last night was surprisingly quiet with only a few small groups out after curfew. Most of the overnight arrests were curfew related.

Chief Hall believes tonight will be very different. She and her command staff have information that the violence will escalate. She is concerned about stand offs and shootings. DPD was advised by the organizer of the protests for tonight that the protesters will not honor the curfew. DPD will remind the protesters at 6:45 that they have 15 more minutes. No one knows what the protesters’ response will be.

The advice for residents is to stay home from 7:00 pm on unless you absolutely must get out. Dallas now has 700 DPS officers as well as a large number of National Guard who are assisting DPD.

Let's play this smart. Take the advice of DPD. Stay home. Keep in mind the recommendations from yesterday. I will list them below.

• Please inform all property managers and security companies to remove all security vehicles from sight. Security vehicles are a target for the protesters.
Security personnel can be most helpful by reporting what they see and witness. They should not engage with any of the protesters.
• Business owners and residents, please do not attempt to proactively defend your property.

• Please use the iWatch Dallas app to share videos and report information to DPD. They are monitoring it closely and it is working efficiently. Yes – this was temporarily hacked but is now back up and running.
• DPD is finding stacks of bricks throughout the area. The bricks have been placed there deliberately as there are being used as weapons. DPD asks that you either report the location of the stack or help remove it. Please continue to report bricks and other projectiles that you see either through 911 or iWatch Dallas. Many of these bricks are related to construction projects – but DPD still wants to check them out.
• Landscape stones, movable furniture, and planters are also being used as weapons. If property managers can temporarily remove the furniture, stones and planters that are easily accessible by the protesters – this would be very helpful.

DPD asks that if people can work from home that they avoid coming into the area for the next several days.

Obviously, appeasement is the only solution. Resistance is futile. Kneel down, repent, and obey.

Sounds like it's time to start crop dusting them with tear gas.

Dallas has been trying hard for quite a while to become the new San Francisco. They're competing with Austin.

Dallas, Austin & Houston are liberal nests.

Oops. Nearly forgot San Antonio.

I showed that letter to a Richardson cop who works at one of the bank buildings off duty. He just said “wow”. Richardson is the first suburb north of Dallas and they’ve had “a few people with signs” he said. The riots will stay in Dallas where the political climate will tolerate them. They won’t be crossing I-635. That’s where Dallas ends and Texas starts.

Glad to hear that. I used to live in Richardson.

Apparently we had a protest in Bastrop yesterday. Daughter and SIL saw ‘em. All 10 of ‘em. Said they got hell outta the way when SIL pulled into the driveway where they were all standing around. He said they were behaving.

What these people just don't understand or get is that no matter how much you (collective we) give up, it is not, & never will be enough to satisfy the blacks & their destructive allies...............never, never ever.

Just look what's been given out & over since the mid-60's when LBJ started the Great Society hoax..............& yet, it's essentially done no real good at all.

There has to be an end to the caving in on all the outrageous demands; Neville Chamberlain & the world saw what happened when the world continued to give in to Hitler, until the rest of the world said "that's enough" & WWII was the end result.

Something similar will likely happen here & the more that is continued to be given away in the meantime, will just make the end result that much more severe.

Montanaman,

Other day when I used the "peace in our time" analogy Big Jim Conrad says we ought to have a meme of Uncle Nev waving a pair of Nikes over his head!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Whatever you may think, it's not "our property". At least not what they remove in Texas.

That was City of Dallas property. That's how they get by with removing all sorts of stuff. The state doesn't own it. The liberal cities do.

I hope this statue goes to the Texas Ranger Museum in Waco though.
