He's 8 1/2 months old and is a BIG dog. He's still in his Goofies, but he likes quail. A covey had fed here just before dark yesterday, and there was still some scent, it appears. He'll have some pheasant shot over him Sunday if all goes OK.






Kind of interesting that he has a brown spot right around his...uhhh...brown spot.

He is looking good, let us know how he does with the birds on Sunday.

Woody came up to the small mountain property today and pointed a Wilson's snipe along the small stream that borders the back side. It was a sight-point, I think, but he does have a good nose.


He's a doofus, but he likes birds and stretching his legs. The boy Can Run!! He's a real dichotomy. On one hand he goes like a charging cape buffalo, and on the other the funniest things startle him, and he jumps into your arms.

He needs to get out a lot more than I am able and probably needs a better human hunting companion. I'm getting too stoved-up anymore. He loves people and has no mean bone in his big strong body.
