Driving between Richmont and Norfold on the interstate 63 the other day and saw a police car with blue lights that had pulled over some gangster looking sedan.

As I passed I saw three thug looking men beating the police officer who had been knocked to the ground.

There was no cell phone coverage in the area. What should I have done?

What would you do?

If you are not actively engaging EVERY enemy you encounter... you are allowing another to fight for you... and that is cowardice... plain and simple.

I'd get out my shovel and take a truckload of bulscheist home to put on my garden.

Check the county you were in and see what the legal limit is. Depending on the distance you were shooting at check the size limits.

The same thing this guy did.

Quote
Patrolman Sammy Long was shot and killed after making a traffic stop on a driver for a traffic violation on US 67 near Rankin, Texas.

The suspect, who was AWOL from the US Navy, opened fire with a .32 caliber handgun as Patrolman Long approached the vehicle, knocking him to the ground. The suspect then took Patrolman Long's service weapon and shot him in the back six times as he lay on the ground.

A citizen, who was an avid deer hunter returning from a hunting trip, was stopped in a rest stop 150 yards from the traffic stop and witnessed the shooting. The man immediately retrieved his hunting rifle and shot the suspect at a range of 150 yards, killing him.

You Bet.

I have stopped and assisted an officer who was by themselves get a perp in handcuffs, Officer was damn glad for it too.

It was funny as hell, the guy was really pissed that I stopped probably because he knew he couldn't take both of us so he focused his anger on me and starts yelling and cussing at me, meanwhile he never notices the cop putting the cuffs on! Just the look on his face when he realized what just happened was worth the stop alone.

If that really happened, and you didn't stop, please stop worrying about money and grow a sack of balls!

If I don't have my wife or kids with me I always stop and help people.

It's usually a flat tire. LOL. But I'd help Mr. Poleece as well.

If this really happened and you didn't stop and assist! You should hang your head in shame, then run as fast as you can into the brick wall in front of you!

Suggest to municipality involved that in remote areas patrol car should have two policemen.

As has been said a lot depends upon whether I have my family with me but I like to think I stop and help the officer out. Likely attempt to get those assaulting him to kneel and beg forgiveness for their privilege.

Could be pretty sporty if any of them had already thought to disarm the officer and/or grab firearms from his vehicle.

It’d certainly make me wish I kept a seat heater.
