Non-existent problem, IMO.
I've never had any issue with any including G5's.

I love when you pretend to know anything about handguns.

My short fat fingers had trouble releasing the take down. So I put replacements in both guns. It's amazing what a 3 MM extension does for my patience. No more torn up fingernails. I haven't considered extended slide releases. Be Well, Rustyzipper. neuropathy where i can't feel much in fingertips makes it difficult too.

I don't recall the brand, but the extended slide lock/release I got was on the pricey side, $30 and a bit. Being left handed and with the Glock just on the edge of my grip span capacity, I work the slide release and the mag release with my left index finger. This particular slide release works well for me. Worth the few extra $$.
I am so used to using my left finger that I can't get used to ambidextrous controls on the right side. Stuck in my ways, I guess.

I really didn't think 3mm longer would make any difference. I was ready to cobble one up. But the replacement came and I ordered another one. They all worked on the Austrian High Point. Be Well, you too Deflave, Rustyzipper.
