Ideas? Insults?
No extra money this year so don't start nothing new damnit. I don't need a 300 PRC. I don't need an NXS. Not even a 6ARC!
Think Continental Divide mixed country, deer, elk. Antelope.
Rifles
7mm Remington Mag, 26" heavy sporter 1in 8" meant for the 180 ELD-M. The longer range open country don't want to carry too much rifle. Not currently threaded. 12X FF on there now. 1st.
6.5 Creedmoor Kimber Montuna. Most likely to be carried/hunted. Wears suppressor and Bushy LRTSi 3-12. Previously 3-9 SWFA was a good fit. 1st.
243 shorty truck gun, 18" for 95 NBTs. Not meant for long range, 6X FF here, dope and confident to 600. The 6X is a good thing here. Second string for whatever reason. Needs bloodied.
30-06 24" hella accurate original 721 in sporter stock. 2nd Needs bloodied. Thinking of trying some 190 ELD-Ms here for grins.
Scopes
SWFA 6, 10 and 12X Mil Quads
Bushy LRTSi 3-12
China alert Athlon 3-15. No trust or doubts but not for the first string.
Well?

I would put the remaining 10x SS on the 721 and call it done.

I've got an old Bausch and Lomb 4x on my 721 .30-06. I bought the rifle at the local pawn shop with that scope on it. It's totally classic. I don't think I want any more scope than that on it. It's a pure hunting rifle. I just wish I had another one just like it in .270 Win.

Still trying to decide wtf to do with the 17" 270. 1-4x24 maybe? Just 3-9 it? Name it, Twinky?

I would put the remaining 10x SS on the 721 and call it done. Goodness, that would be easy! LOL Thanks man. Yeah, me too I recently picked up an 03-A3 sporterized in the 60's .The barrel still 24" ,the drill tap job 1st rate perfect alignment Weaver bases . Put 30 mm med height Weaver rings on it and clamped a 10 x SS mrad in them. Minimal movement bore sighting and was good to go in 6 shots. I am going to wring the old girl out 165's,168 and up to 180. Previous owner had the original trigger worked over to eliminate the 2 stage and it now is smooth at 3.5#. I think most people who shoot 308 today would be amazed at what the old but timeless 30-06 will do. MB
