At least they were economical about it and only used a helicopter... instead of towing it out during the winter... shessssshhhh

Glad it is finally gone, hope it is in a landfill. I dunno. Things aren't landmarks at first. They become landmarks over time for various reasons. Seems like those who live in AK disdain the bus. Those from other places tend to romanticize about what it was. Almost a symbol of who we want to be. Jealous that we don't live there (AK). When I visited Alaska last year via RV I envied those who lived there (thanks again for your hospitality watch4bear). I watched Into The Wild shortly after I got home. Our Denali guide spoke about it. Everyone goes to Alaska for about the same reasons. Even the cruise ship crowd.
